Movies • Ad-Films • Theatre • Voice Overs
The celluloid has always been my first love and in its company, I have spent many years living a different array of characters and working with some of the stalwarts of the film industry like Aishwarya Rai, Kamal Hassan, Madhavan, Mani Ratnam, Rajiv Menon & Shankar, among others. Movies like Ghilli, Jeans, Minsara Kanavu, Singam etc. will always remain etched in my memory for the wonderful experiences I had with them.
While I wasn’t shooting for movies, I also had the wonderful opportunity to endorse, model and interact with some of the top brands of our nation like Cadburys, Pepsodent, KFJ, NAC Jewellers, Chakra Gold Tea, Surf XL, Ariel, Henko, Jansons Dhoti, Sun Direct, Gold Winner, Datri Hair Oil etc.
Live performing arts and specifically theatre has always held my fascination. I have always made use of the various facets of theatre like monologues in my storytelling session as I believe the dramatic touch expands a wide horizon of imagination for the members of the audience. I have also been able to hone my skills as a thespian by working with some of the leading theatre houses of Chennai like Crea Shakti and Madras Players. I have also had the chance to interact with young theatre practitioners across on the importance of compelling storytelling as an art form.
Voice is always a powerful tool when it comes to taking stories to the audience. Your voice needs to be compelling of the nature of the character and precisely intonate the situation. I chanced upon the opportunity to lend my voice to some exquisite and interesting characters on the screen. I have been, in the last few years, professionally voice acting across various genres for children’s stories, radio, TV, film and television commercials, documentaries, and animation. Most recently, I worked on a Spotify original podcast series 'Talking Tales from Tulika' and lent my voice for the episodes 'We are different', 'Folktales', and 'Animals Big and Small'.
